Full payment along with a security deposit is typically required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. Vehicle Pickup and Return
- Upon collecting your vehicle, please conduct a thorough inspection and promptly report any pre-existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be generated and must be signed by you. It is your responsibility to return the vehicle in the same condition as received, considering normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged as necessary. Ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as when collected; refueling charges will be applied if the fuel level is lower. Late returns may incur extra fees, so please inform us in advance if you expect to be late. You will also be accountable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or charges incurred during your rental, along with an administration fee.
5. Coverage and Responsibility
- Every car rental from us includes basic third-party insurance, with comprehensive details and excess amounts provided in your Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to limit your financial liability. It is recommended to review these options carefully. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess amount, unless additional insurance applies. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, irrespective of any insurance coverage.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies depend on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For specific information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Prohibited uses of our vehicles include any illegal activities or purposes. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other dangerous driving practices is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials, sub-letting to third parties, or permitting unauthorized drivers is strictly forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, exceeding passenger or weight limits, and operating outside designated geographical areas without prior consent are also violations of our terms.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and fees.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Chelsea will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount you paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
